We uphold the school motto of Shun Tak Fraternal Association Member Schools, placing Intellect, Virtue, Loyalty, Trust at the core of what we do. We introduce to children a wealth of knowledge and nurture moral integrity, loyal and honesty in them to make them grow into a good citizen who is cultured, knowledgeable, noble, passionate about serving the society and willing to contribute to the country.
Our Mission
Adhering to the education mission of STFA, “promote education and nurture talents”, we are committed to provide children with quality preschool education. Believing that education is for all, we educate children based on their developmental needs and abilities, allow them to gain social life experiences in a happy, wonderful learning environment, and thus trigger their curiosity and desire for knowledge, develop their interests in learning and help them establish good living habits. We encourage children to “learn to learn, be active in learning and love to learn”, and prepare children for the path to life-long learning and lay the foundation for learning.
Our Vision
Our school is a harmonious community where the principal, teachers, janitors and students get along well with one another. It is a place filled with care, love and hope that allows our students to grow happily in a loving, sincere atmosphere. We offer a pleasant learning environment, inspiring and interesting learning experiences, and a myriad of after-school enrichment activities. Both teachers and students show care to each other, interact with each other and learn happily in a harmonious atmosphere. They are back to school every day with joy and enjoy their pleasurable school life. Each of our students is given equal opportunities here and receives the same amount of care and attention. The splendid school life they enjoy here will equip them with the bravery they need to face challenges in life and ensure they attain a balanced development in the areas of ethics, intellect, social skills, aesthetics and emotions. Not only will they become active learners, but also become a self-directed lifelong learner. They will grow into individuals who are good at communication, respectful, understanding, as well as dare to push beyond boundaries, seek continuous improvement and strive for excellence.

Curriculum Objectives and Teaching Approaches
Our curriculum places emphasis on nurturing children’s interest in learning, cultivating positive and attitudes, as well as strengthening self-confidence and self-care abilities. It adopts the principle of promoting comprehensive and balanced development in children covering the five developmental objectives, namely “Moral Development”, “Cognitive and Language Development”, “Physical Development”, Affective and Social Development” and “Aesthetic Development” to actualise the development in the five domains of ethics, intellect, physique, social skills and aesthetics respectively. Children like to explore and are active learners. Our curriculum focuses on nurturing children’s interests and motivation in learning, providing them with real-life, sensory and interesting learning experiences that help them gain first-hand life experiences and knowledge. We also adopt a variety of learning activities to teach them about the nation, help them develop a sense of citizenship, promote affective and moral development, develop their confidence and help them establish good living habits.

Enhancing Children’s Speaking and Listening Skills in English & Putonghua
Taking into account the characteristics and pace of language development among children, we provide children with integrated language learning experiences, with listening, speaking, reading and writing experiences incorporated naturally into the daily teaching contexts. We have hired 5 native English-speaking teachers and 3 Putonghua teachers to adopt different strategies, such as listening to stories, singing nursery rhymes, daily conversations, play and reading picture books, in a whole-class or small-class teaching environment to enhance children’s listening and speaking skills in English and Putonghua. Drama teaching is conducted in Putonghua to motivate children to learn Putonghua and strengthen their Putonghua listening and speaking skills. The ultimate goal of which is to help children attain whole-person development, unleash their unlimited creativity, develop their problem-solving skills and promote their moral and social skill development. We use Cambridge Alphabet Book, Kid’s Box Starter Class Book and Cambridge Story Book in class to build children’s interests in English, instil in them a positive attitude and confidence in using English and interacting with others and the environment in English.
National Education
It is important to teach children about China in the first few years of their learning. Children’s best learning occurs when we engage them in things they are interested in or things relate to their daily lives, that is to say, to give children opportunities to explore, discover and appreciate every bit about China in everyday life. We incorporate a range of activities into the lesson to enable students to experience Chinese living culture. Affective life education is provided to help students acquire knowledge about the nation’s culture and cultivate a sense of national identity, while theme-based activities supported by drama and storytelling teaching strategies will help students learn more about their motherland.
Gift Book Scheme
Books are an effective learning and teaching tool. We gift different types of books to students to encourage students to read at home, instil a love of reading in them and enhance their reading skills.
